About Sirius

Sirius is a handsome, friendly boy that arrived to the rescue as a stray. Sadly, no one has claimed him so he is now looking for a new family to have lots of adventures with! Sirius can be a little nervous initally meeting people, but then is your best friend and loves fuss and cuddles! He is a playful pup that likes a play off lead, and loves to do zoomies! He can be quite jumpy and excited, so will need owners that will put in the time with training for him. He is a young lad that finds everything excited but will need general training and socialisation. Sirius can be barky with dogs, but this is frustration as he is very playful and silly once he meets them. He would benefit from calm interactions around dogs to build up his confidence. At the moment he is looking for a home as the only dog. Sirius can be nervous with new things, including the vets, but generally settles pretty well. He can pull on lead so will again need some lead training. Following further assessment we feel that Sirius would be best suited to an adult only home. Sirius can be quite protective of his food and will growl if you hover too close to him - so he will need space while he is eating and settling in the home. We can advise anyone interested in him with more information on how to manage and avoid this behaviour. Generally he is an amazing boy who clearly hasn't had much structure and will need a stable home with consistence training and lots of fun adventures. He'll be an amazing boy once he has settled with so much potential!
