About Lizzie

People – Lizzie is a shy girl initially but soon overcomes this for a cuddle, she loves attention once she has made friends, she loves a lap! Can I live with children – We have a limited history for her so would advise older children or occasional visiting grandchildren with adequate supervision Can I live with other dogs – She is an ex breeding girl so must be rehomed with another similar sized social and confident resident dog who will help build her confidence and show her all about life as a much loved pet, as with most Dachshunds she does love her own kind, a resident Dachshund would be perfect for her Can I live with cats – We do not know how she would react so a feline free home may be best Health – There are no known health issues Out and about – Lizzie enjoys being out and about, she travels well in the car. She can be nervous of larger dogs but looks to her handler for guidance and reassurance. she is not reactive at all. Once she has made friends Lizzie enjoys the company of other dogs. Everything is new for Lizzie and it can be a little overwhelming, she has made great progress in her foster and will continue to do so in her new home In the home – She has adjusted well in foster, and loves her canine companions, she can be a little nervous and barky initially with new visitors to the home. Lizzie soon settles and then enjoys a fuss. She enjoys her time in the garden and has been mostly clean in the house. She may have the odd accident as she settles into her forever home. Lizzie copes well with all household sights and sounds Type of home – Lizzie will benefit from owners with the time to bring her on and who can continue build her confidence, another confident and social Dachshund would be perfect for this little lady. Her new owners will need to be around for a good part of the day and know and understand Dachshunds Lizzie has been vaccinated and microchipped and is up to date with flea and worming treatments, she will need to be neutered at the correct time as part of her Adoption Agreement and in line with current breed recommendations (2 Years) Reduced cost neutering at our vets is available on request PLEASE NOTE: WE WILL CONSIDER ALL APPLICATIONS IF THEY MATCH THE RE HOMING CRITERIA AS PLACED.
