Sohan

Sohan Sohan is a 3 year old gsd x Chinese red dog. He has now been in rescue for a year and needs a very special home. Sohan came to us as a stray so we have no background information on him. Since being in kennels Sohan has formed a special bond with one of the volunteers who regularly takes him out for scent work classes. Sohan can appear very aloof to begin with but does start to show his true character once he has bonded with you. Sohan needs a pet free , adult only home. The reason for this is because he can show reactivity to other dogs and is a big strong boy who needs all the attention for himself. He has shown a dislike to some males (human) – we aren’t sure if he has had a bad experience prior to coming to us. For this reason he will need a very experienced adopter who has experience of large GSDs and /or Chinese red dogs. He will need multiple visits to allow him to build some trust in his future home. Sohan has settled into kennel life but like all dogs, it isn’t ideal and it would be nice to find him a special forever home – a tough ask in the current rescue climate.
