About Fig

If you are ready to welcome a happy, albeit very cheeky, energetic, and fun-loving youngster into your home, and have lots of time to invest in adventures and training, Fig may well be the canine companion you have been searching for! She is a truly beautiful female German Shepherd X Border Collie who, at just six months old, thrives on being at the heart of everything, and is super keen to explore her surroundings and make new friends. True to both breeds in her mix Fig benefits from having things to do, and having people around her! She can quickly become bored or frustrated without adequate enrichment opportunities, so an engaging environment is essential for her well-being. Having been a cherished pet, she has enjoyed a fantastic start to life, which shines through in her confident, optimistic, and highly sociable nature around both humans and other dogs. She is a very happy dog! Fig is still very much a youngster in a lot of ways and can become quite mouthy when she gets over excited or over tired, and she will sometimes forget her size when she jumps up. However, Fig is also super smart, so she picks things up very quickly, and already knows a lot of tricks including “ roll-over” and “paw”. The ideal match for Fig would be an active family eager to enrol in trick training classes, doggy sports, or scent work, ensuring her bright mind and energetic body remain thoroughly satisfied. Fig is in her absolute element when she finds a canine companion ready to exchange play bows and enjoy a spirited chase with her. Following successful introductions at the centre, we think she could happily live alongside other dogs. To help her thrive, a household comprising of adults and older teenage children would suit her best. Additionally, we are looking to find her a family who won’t need to leave her home by herself until she is comfortable and able to cope with this as she is used to always having people around.
