No. The Presa Canario is not one of the five banned types (Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, Fila Brasileiro and XL Bully). The law goes by looks, though: whether a dog is banned "depends on what it looks like, rather than its breed or name" (gov.uk), so a dog of any label with the characteristics of a banned type is treated as one. Rescues assess this before rehoming, and we never list a banned type.

With the rescue that has the dog. Today the Presa Canarios on this page are with Pawprints Dog Rescue (1). Open a profile and apply to that rescue: each one runs its own application, home check and adoption fee. We don't rehome animals ourselves.

Not here: we only list dogs with rescues, so every Presa Canario on this page is adopted for the rescue's fee, which usually covers vet work already done. Whether to buy is your choice.
