Care needs

As you may be able to see from Boz’s photos, he is on the chunky side and is currently on a special diet in order to help him lose weight and feel more comfortable. He does enjoy his walks and is happy to bumble along, so we will need someone who is able to work with him and continue this journey to helping him become the very best version of himself!

About Bosworth

Meet Bosworth, a little chap with a huge personality. Bosworth (Boz, Bozzy, or King Boz to his friends) has well and truly stolen the hearts of everyone here at the shelter, and we are sure he will do the same for anyone lucky enough to share their home with this little gentleman. Boz was a much loved pet, but had an undeniably rocky start to life and was sadly handed into our care due to his previous owner’s ill health. When Boz arrived with us, he was extremely confused, sad and just the shell of the characterful pooch we now know him to be. We took a chance on little Bozzy, and we are so glad we did as he is such a funny and loving little guy, and will be sure to make someone an excellent companion. Boz, whilst incredibly cute, does have some big feelings and due to his slightly uncertain past, can be wary when first meeting new people. He builds incredibly strong one to one bonds, and we feel he would be well suited to this type of home, where someone can dote on him and he can dote on them. He would thrive in a home where someone can be around for the majority of the day, and is happy to sit snuggled up with him on the sofa watching a film together. Boz also travels well in the car, so would be more than happy to accompany his new person on adventures further afield. Boz can be protective, and doesn’t like it when he is settled with his human and someone else approaches, so will need careful management and a plan for visitors in the home going forwards which the team here will be more than happy to run through with any potential adopters. Once initial greetings are out of the way, Boz is an absolute joy and is more than happy to be friends and have a fuss, but he may just need to suss you out first and ensure you aren’t here to steal his human! Due to this, Boz will need an adult only home. Boz does, however, enjoy the company of other doggy friends, so may be able to share his home with other pooches pending successful meets at the shelter. Boz is such a character and we really hope he finds his forever home soon.
