Sunny

I need a calm and quiet home where I can settle in at my own pace. I need a resident dog my size or larger to help me settle in & I have never met cats. I would like a secure garden to spend time in. I’ve recently started harness training I have never lived in a home so I will need help to learn house training. I have an undershot jaw & I have had 4 of my teeth removed during spay! 27-08-26 Sunny is a sweet girl who has come to us from a breeder and is trying her hardest to be brave. She was very briefly adopted, but after a few days in her new home it was clear that her and the resident dog weren't a good match and so she has returned to our care. Sunny loves other dogs and still looks to her kennel friends for comfort and reassurance, so she will need at least one other kind and confident resident dog in her new home who she can look to and lean on as she continues to grow in confidence. She will be best suited to a home where any resident dogs were her size or larger and were fairly confident and well socialised. We think she will settle quickly in the right home, and with patience and encouragement, we’re sure her lovely personality will really begin to shine. She will be looking for a calm and quiet home with adopters who have experience with ex-breeding dogs and who will allow her to settle in at her own pace. She can live with older, dog-savvy teens aged 16+ who are kind and sensible and will give her the time she needs to settle in. She will now happily approach you for a fuss and is easy to handle, which is lovely to see as she begins to settle in and discover the world around her. Sunny arrived with us very matted, but she was such a good girl during her grooming session and took everything in her stride. Sunny has never lived in a home before, so her adopters will need to be kind and patient as she learns all about home life and new skills like house training. She has started to learn all about walking on a lead and harness and though this is still new to her, she is doing well. Sunny is an amazing lady who has so much to look forward to and will make a wonderful addition to a loving and accepting home. Sunny has arrived with an undershot jaw that does not seem to bother her, but will need to be monitored in her new home. She has had 4 teeth removed at the time of her spay.
