About Bertha

Bertha has unfortunately come into rescue from a private home due to a change in her devastated owners circumstances where there was no way that they could keep her. She is struggling in a kennel environment and we know that we are not seeing her true personality due to her being so stressed here According to her owners she is pretty chilled out in the home, great traveller and has been on loads of holidays. She is housetrained and knows her basic commands although recall is a bit 50/50 She has lived with other dogs previously and is interested in other dogs if they are friendly towards her. Loves people and more than happy to have fusses and tummy rubs if they on offer! Not good with small fluffies such as cats and squirrels as she will chase but is great with children. She loves a game of tug and will chase a ball (but we haven't seen much of this bless her ) Bertha would love to be a part of a family with someone around a lot, although she can be left for a few hours there has always been another dog in the home with her for company. She will need a little work on the lead as she can pull a bit but this does get better the more she is out.
