Rocky

“We currently have a 12 month old GSD that should have gone to the council as he has been abandoned. He is a lovely lad, traditional GSD colours but perhaps a little darker than most, really good temperament, keen to please and food driven, has been seen by our vet for a couple of issues which have now been treated, he was a little on the light side when we found him, so trying to muscle him up a little, haven’t seen any dog aggression but he hasn’t been socialised as we don’t have any dogs suitable.” Rocky is proving to be a lovely young dog born April 2025. He has been fabulous with all staff and volunteers he has met so far. He has fairly good lead manners and has been round our enclosed woods with great recall and keeps checking in not going to far… This lovely young man is a blank canvas. He can be a little reactive on lead towards other dogs however is easily handled and this is more out of frustration. We feel he has missed out on lot puppy socialising and playing with other dogs. However he has the most loveable temperament, and is a big goon, Rocky is big lad and sometimes forgets his size he does like a bounce, like Tigger!! He could live with older children and maybe another laid back dog with careful introduction. Rocky will need a home that will continue his education as he is young and willing to learn. He really is a super young dog,
