About Merida

Meet this gorgeous girl Merida! Merida came into our care as stray, therefore we don’t have any previous history on her. When she first arrived at the home, Merida was very nervous and a shy girl. She slowly started to trust staff but can still be nervous and unsure when meeting new people, especially men. Merida is looking for a very patient home, who are understanding and must be committed to do multiple meets here at the home. Once out of her shell and is confident with you, she’s an absolute sweetheart. Full of life and energy. She thoroughly enjoys being outside on her daily walks. Merida is also super playful, always enjoying time in our enclosed area, playing with toys and staff. Her new family must be active and happy to take her on new adventures. Whilst being in our care, Merida prefers her own space with other dogs and doesn’t like to be bothered by them. For this reason, she would be best suited to a home with no other dogs. Her new family must be willing to continue with her socialising. Merida wouldn’t be suitable to live with cats. Due to her nervousness, Merida is needing an adult only home, with no visiting children either. She needs a quieter home where she can settle at her pace and feel comfortable. Her new home must be experience and ideally dealt with nervous dogs before. Please do not apply for a dog if you have a holiday within the next 3 months. *Applicants that are successful will be provided with further information on each dog to the best of the charity’s knowledge
