About Star
Meet this giddy girl Star!
Star is a typical Patterdale Terrier who is always raring to go! She loves being outdoors, exploring new smells and trying to chase any wildlife she comes across. Star would love a fully enclosed garden where she can enjoy plenty of secure off-lead time and burn off some of her energy. Patterdale experience is essential as she can have her cheeky moments and will need a family who understands her spirited nature. Star has been rehomed twice previously so is looking for a patient family that has a lot of experience with dogs that need extra training and time to settle into a new life in a home.
We have found that Star struggles when left alone, so her new family will need to be around for most of the time. She will need someone who has the time, patience and commitment to help her settle into her new life and feel comfortable in a home environment. As Star was found as a stray, we don’t have much background information about her. However, we know she is an energetic, characterful girl who will thrive with the right family, plenty of exercise and lots of love.
Star may require multiple meets so she can get to know her new family before going home. Her new family will need to be patient and understanding whilst she is settling in and getting used to her new surroundings.
We think that it is best for Star to be rehomed to an adult only home with no visiting children.
Star can be very vocal around dogs and get overwhelmed easily so will need to be the only dog in the home. She will need continuous training to help her improve her confidence.
We wouldn’t recommend Star to be rehomed with cats due to her breed.
Please do not apply for a dog if you have a holiday within the next 3 months.
*Applicants that are successful will be provided with further information on each dog to the best of the charity’s knowledge
