About Mick and Evie

Mick & Evie: Looking for a Loving Retirement Home Together Mick and Evie are a truly gorgeous pair of senior cats who are searching for a special home to spend their golden years together. At 10 years old, these lovely cats have sadly found themselves needing a fresh start after their owner passed away. They weren’t found for several days afterwards, which left them a little thinner than they should be, but they’re both enjoying plenty of good food, tasty treats, and gentle care while they steadily return to a healthy weight. Mick is a handsome, big, fluffy ginger-and-white gentleman with the softest coat and an equally soft personality. When help first arrived, poor Mick couldn’t be found because he was tucked safely away upstairs beneath his owner’s pillow, a touching reminder of how deeply he loved his person. He’s a little shy when meeting new people, but once he feels comfortable he enjoys gentle fusses and is delightfully known for being a happy drooler. While he’s not particularly fond of other male cats, he absolutely adores Evie, and the pair can often be found snoozing side by side on their favourite shelf. Evie is our wonderful three-legged girl and quite simply a little sweetheart. With her beautiful dilute calico colouring and affectionate nature, she’s impossible not to love. More confident than Mick, Evie isn’t shy about asking for attention and will happily chat to you when she’d like some fuss. Despite missing a front leg, she doesn’t let it slow her down one bit. She still jumps onto cat trees, shelves, and all the places cats like to supervise from, proving that she’s every bit as capable and active as ever. Mick and Evie have always lived as indoor cats, and we’d like them to find a home with people who understand how to keep cats happy, healthy, and fully indoors. They are looking for a calm, quiet retirement home where they can continue their lives together, surrounded by love, comfort, and plenty of pampering. Because they’re indoor cats, they will need a home with lots of space for enrichment, exploration, and relaxation. A small flat wouldn’t be suitable, especially with Mick being such a large chap and Evie still enjoying an active lifestyle despite having only three legs. If you have a peaceful home, a warm lap or two, and room in your heart for a devoted senior duo, Mick and Evie could be the perfect companions. Their story may have had a sad chapter, but we’d love their next one to be filled with comfort, kindness, and all the love they deserve.
