Doris

Introduction; Doris is a busy, intelligent girl who can be worried by new people and certain situations. Home wanted: Doris requires a home understanding of the behavioural and emotional support she requires to help her build confidence. She will need help with house training and isn’t used to car travel. Doris will need a quiet home and with her own secure garden until she is ready for walks. Behaviour towards people/children: Doris is worried by people she doesn’t know, particularly men and cannot live with children. With people she trusts she is incredibly affectionate, bouncy and playful. Other animals: Doris is social with other dogs and may benefit from living with another dog if right match. However, would be fine being the only dog and having social friends on walks. Can not live with cats, small animals or birds as will chase. Additional needs (behavioural/extra support): Doris is a busy, high-energy dog and will need a home able to provide for her physical and mental enrichment needs. Potential adopters will need to be able to visit the centre on several occasions to allow Doris to feel comfortable around them. A commitment to continuing behavioural support long term is required.
