About Ash
Meet Ash – A Gentle Soul Looking for Someone to Believe in Him 🖤
Age: 10–11 months
Breed: Black Labrador cross
Ash is a beautiful young boy with the softest nature and so much potential. At just 10–11 months old, he is still discovering the world around him, and although he arrived with us a shy and nervous lad, he has come on in leaps and bounds. We couldn’t be prouder of him.
Ash is one of those dogs who reminds us just how important patience, kindness and understanding can be. He doesn’t need the world to change overnight; he simply needs someone willing to give him the time and reassurance to find his feet.
Every single day, Ash is learning. His lead walking is coming on really, really well, and watching his confidence grow as he discovers new things has been wonderful. He is trying so hard, and beneath that initial shyness is a lovely, gentle boy who has so much love and potential to give.
The home Ash needs
We would ideally love to find Ash a home with another friendly, confident and well-balanced dog. Having a canine companion to show him the ropes, help him navigate everyday life and teach him that the world isn’t such a scary place could make all the difference to this boy.
A super secure garden is a must.
Ash would benefit from a calm, patient home where he can continue building his confidence at his own pace. He will need people who understand that progress isn’t always linear and who will celebrate the little milestones along the way.
He could live with dog-savvy children who understand that, when Ash feels a little worried or overwhelmed, he needs space and the opportunity to retreat somewhere safe. Respecting his boundaries will be an important part of helping him settle and flourish.
Why Ash deserves his chance
Ash is still such a young dog. He has so much growing, learning and living ahead of him, and we truly believe that with the right people beside him, he can blossom into a wonderful companion.
He doesn’t need someone to make him brave overnight. He needs someone to walk beside him, encourage him gently and show him, day by day, that he is safe and loved.
He is a great-natured, gentle, soft boy who is very much loved here at Almost Home. We have seen how far he has already come, and we know there is so much more to discover about this special lad.
Could you be the person who helps Ash believe in himself?
If you have a loving home, a little patience and the understanding to help a young, sensitive dog find his confidence, Ash could be the most rewarding addition to your family.
Let’s give this beautiful boy the chance he deserves to grow into the happy, confident dog we know he can be. 🖤
Ash is waiting for someone to see not just the nervous boy he is today, but the wonderful dog he has the potential to become.
