Hello there, I'm June and as you can see I'm a real beauty! What you can't tell from the photos though is that I'm very shy. I didn't have a good life before coming here and I need humans who will gently and respectfully show me that the world isn't a scary place. When I get to know my human carers I am happy to have a fuss, but only when I've asked for it - I find it very scary when a human touches me when I haven't asked them to, or when a human touches me for too long - for me boundaries and consent are very important! I am looking for a very quiet home with humans who let me set the pace and give me as much space and time as I need to settle - I might not want much to do with them for the first month or two. I would like to be able to explore the outside world so a home with a garden is a must, but I need to be sure that I'm happy and settled in my home before venturing outside. It might sound like I'm asking a lot but after a bad start in life I deserve to feel happy and safe! If you can give me a chance please fill in the adoption form!
