About Miller and Taddington

Miller(Black and White) Born approximately April 2025 and Taddington (Black ) Born approcimately March 2025 Miller and Taddington are currently sharing a pen but can be homed separately or together They are 2 of 11 young and adult cats who were abandoned together in a small crate on a farm in Wheston in the Peak District. The owner arrived at home to find a crate full of cats in her yard towards the end of April and immediately got the crate into her vehicle and brought them to us. They were all on top of each other in the cramped space and covered in their own excrement. Luckily we had one double pen available so they were settled there for the night and the following day they were sorted into the males and females, other cats being shuffled to make our larger pens available so we could split them into smaller groups. 2 of the 4 females were also well into pregnancy (one has had 2 kittens and one had 3, so the grand total from that one emergency admission was 16 precious lives). All of the gang are quite nervous and several, although young, had gum and dental disease to a greater or lesser extent. Fin had quite severe dental disease and gingivitis and tested positive for calicivirus so we expect all the gang to have been exposed to this. Miller's teeth are fine but he has very slight gingivitis so this will need monitoring and feeding him a good quality dry diet will help to stop any problems developing . Taddington teeth are good at the moment . Both of them are now neutered, vaccinated and microchipped We are currently feeding them on Hills Dental dry which they enjoy. They are both inquisitive but nervous cats .They enjoy playing with you and will allow gentle and slow handling when they feel safe. We feel in a home enviroment they will coem around even more given time and patients After their poor starts in life this little gang of cats are ready to find the love and care which has been missing from their lives until now.
