About Moxy
I need a calm and quiet, adult-only home.
I will need a kind, calm resident dog to show me the ropes. I'm unsure of cats.
I would like an extra-secure garden to spend time in.
I haven't tried walks just yet and will find this a bit overwhelming at the moment.
I am currently in a foster home where I am learning about home life!
Please read my information below.
Moxy is a worried little girl who has come to us from a breeder and is now in foster, where she is beginning to show her lovely, affectionate personality. She can be unsure around new people, but as she learns to trust you, more of her sweet nature shines through. In the evenings, she will come to her fosterers for a cuddle on her own terms, which is lovely to see as she continues to grow in confidence.
Moxy will need an adult-only home with adopters who have experience with ex-breeding dogs and understand that she needs time, patience and kindness to settle into her new life. A calm, quiet environment with minimal disruption will be important, as will having a gentle, quiet resident dog to help her feel safe and guide her through home life. Moxy has struggled with a more vocal dog in her foster home, so her canine companion will need to be calm and considerate of her needs.
Moxy has never lived in a home before and is learning about house training and everyday routines in foster. Her new family will need to continue this patiently and gently introduce her to lead walking. She has shown signs of digging, so she will also need an extra-secure garden to keep her safe.
Moxy arrived with sore eyes, and our vet noted that her lower eyelid is irregular, although this is not currently causing her any issues. We are also concerned that her vision is significantly reduced, as her depth perception seems affected. She may bump into things or be startled when other dogs approach unexpectedly, so her adopters will need to understand her visual difficulties and help her navigate her surroundings safely. She also arrived with sore skin and old concrete sores, which we hope will continue to improve.
Moxy has already made lovely progress and is gradually learning to trust the people around her. She will need a special family who can offer a peaceful home, a calm canine companion and the understanding she needs to feel secure. With time, patience and gentle reassurance, we hope this affectionate little girl will continue to blossom and discover just how lovely life can be.
