Chief

Meet Chief, This big sweetie came to us after his owner had a baby and could no longer cope. He was originally kept as a house cat but began straying for a few months. Chief is quite a clingy cat and likes to spend his time close to someone. He is also known from his previous home to be a little bit of an escape artist! He has tested positive for FIV. This means that he will need to be an indoor only cat for his own safety. He should also be an only cat. Even though the risk of transmission is low, it is still best he doesn’t live with another feline. FIV cats can live totally normal lives but the virus can make them more vulnerable to illness. Please do some research before applying but don’t let it put you off. We are happy to discuss any concerns with you! As he is a decently confident cat, he could be okay with children given they are cat-savvy. We aren’t sure how he would feel about a dog, we don’t think he has ever met one before! He may be able to go to a home with a dog that has lived with cats before. FIV is species specific so there is no risk of transmission to other animals (that aren’t cats). If you think you would like to offer him a loving home, please complete the cat application form here
