Xena

Personality - Xena is a gentle, kind dog who is looking for a new home that better suits her personality. She needs a quiet and structured environment and an experienced owner because she is a little shy initially and worries about visitors to the home. She requires an owner who is willing to understand her rather than expect her to fit into every situation, and once Xena gets to know you and bonds she is an extremely loyal and loving dog who adores affection! She likes to follow her owner around the house and settle somewhere nearby to be involved in what you are doing - although if the sun is out and she finds a good sunbathing spot, she will happily abandoned you! Xena also loves her walks, playing fetch or tug and will never say no to a lick mat with something tasty to enjoy! She does have good recall but as she can be a little nervous, is currently walked on a long line. Suitable Home: - Quiet environment with a routine is paramount - Plenty of walks and adventures - she is very happy in the car! - A secure garden to call her own (big enough to play fetch!) - A calm, confident, small-medium sized companion dog of a similar age in the home is preferred but all applicants will be considered providing she can meet dogs on her walks - No cats in the home - She can be left for short periods of time but would prefer someone at home the majority of time - Children need to be over the age of 12 If you would like to apply for her, please complete an application form and give us as much information as possible. Donation and home-check apply Please note: Holbrook Animal Rescue is operated by a team of volunteers. We are also a kennel free environment so an application form is required before appointments can be arranged through our rehoming team.
