On LocalPetFinder, an older dog is one whose listed age is 7 years or more. Rescues use their own cut-offs: Blue Cross, for example, has a lower fee band for dogs aged 8 or over.

The fee usually covers neutering, microchipping and first vaccinations, and each rescue confirms its own fee.
