This page covers the Dorset council area. It brings together the 9 cats listed on LocalPetFinder in Dorset and within about 25 miles of it, 9 of them in Dorset itself, from 1 rescue. Each card shows the town the animal is in and how far that is from the centre of Dorset, in a straight line.
Every profile links to the rescue that has the animal, and you apply with them directly: the rescue runs its own process and tells you its adoption fee. Listings are updated regularly, so it is worth checking back.

Are there cat rescues in Dorset?
Right now 1 rescue lists 9 cats on LocalPetFinder in Dorset or within about 25 miles of it, 9 in Dorset itself. We only show rescues whose animals we list, so there may be others nearby.
How does adopting a cat near Dorset work?
Pick a cat on this page and apply with the rescue named on its profile. LocalPetFinder is not a rescue: each rescue runs its own adoption process, which can include meeting the cat and a home check, and sets its own fee. If the rescue is a drive away, expect to make the trip at least once.
Can I rehome my cat in Dorset?
Yes. Owners anywhere in England can list a dog, cat or rabbit on LocalPetFinder for free. Enter your postcode and a listing from Dorset appears on this page once we have checked it. Your pet stays with you until you choose an adopter. Start here.

Is LocalPetFinder the same as Petfinder?
No. LocalPetFinder is an independent UK website and is not connected with Petfinder. We bring together dogs, cats and rabbits from UK rescues and rehoming centres, and every profile links to the rescue that cares for the animal, so you apply with them directly.
How is LocalPetFinder different from Pets4Homes?
Pets4Homes describes itself as the UK’s largest online pet marketplace, connecting buyers with breeders as well as shelters and charities. LocalPetFinder is for adoption: our listings come from rescues and rehoming centres and from owners rehoming their own pet, each checked by a reviewer before it goes live. We do not take adverts from breeders.
Can I find RSPCA animals on LocalPetFinder?
No. We do not list the RSPCA’s animals, at its national centres or its branches. To see them, use RSPCA Find a Pet, the RSPCA’s own search for animals in its centres and branches across England and Wales.
