Jim & Rita

Rita and Jim have now been at the rescue since June 2026, when they were returned after originally being adopted back in 2023, they were returned due to their owners emigrating so no fault of their own. Rita and Jim had always been shy, having been trapped by another rescue at their colony then admitted to us here at Freshfields, when they returned to us they regressed a little, but our cattery team and volunteers have worked hard to gain their trust. We decided to move Rita and Jim out of the cattery setting a month ago, to a space in our conservatory – and what a difference this has made to their personalities. Rita and Jim are understandably a little cautious when meeting new people, but soon accept fuss. Rita in particular really enjoys being groomed and will roll around, Jim is a little more reserved but as soon as a treat is introduced, he soon forgets his shyness. It is sad to see these wonderful cats struggle for a home, they are sweet , quiet, clean cats who do enjoy human company. They would suit a quietish home and would make lovely pets for someone wanting a little company. If you think you could give them the quiet home they are looking for, please fill in an application form below. Cat Application form(Wales) page | Freshfields Animal Rescue
