About Sid
Meet Sid!
Sid, a stunning young Lurcher, came into our care recently as a stray. We don’t know anything about his past, but we estimate that he is between one and two years old.
What we do know is that Sid is a very gentle boy who adores people. He can be a little nervous when he first meets you but give him a couple of minutes and he’ll be up on the sofa leaning in for cuddles.
When the kennels go quiet and he’s left on his own Sid cries. It breaks our hearts, and we think he may be struggling with separation anxiety; probably because he’s learned the hard way that people don’t always come back. We therefore think he would do best in a home where there are people around most of the time until he starts to realise that his people will always return.
Out on walks, Sid is a joy. He walks beautifully on the lead and loves exploring the world. When he first arrived, he was a bit reactive around some of the other dogs, but that has faded now that he’s settled, and he happily strolls along in a group of dogs. We think it was simply nerves from finding himself somewhere strange and frightening. We therefore think that he could potentially share his new home with another dog, subject to careful introductions at our kennels near Buntingford.
As Sid is such a friendly, gentle boy, we are happy that he can live with children. As a sighthound, though, his instinct to chase is strong, so he can’t live with cats or small furries.
Can you give this gorgeous boy a warm sofa and a place where he can finally feel safe and loved? If so, please get in touch.
