About Pippa
Pippa requires a very specific forever home.
Pippa is a small but very fiesty little lady, who knows what she wants and what she doesnt.
She is social with other dogs both big and small, she isnt afraid of any of them, not even the massive greyhounds. If anything they are scared of her, as she is a bossy little lady. Whilst Pippa is dog friendly, she doesnt always want to share her toys or bones, it isnt an issue she has all the time, but occassionlly she will decide that something is hers and she will guard it from the other dogs and us humans. For that reason she would need an adult only home, as her resource guarding can be random as it doesnt happen alot, but its important that you know not to take things off her when she is growling. She is very food orientated so can swap it for a treat.
She is just a spicy little lady who likes things her way, but can also be a very sweet girl at times too. She is just going to be a little lady who needs an experienced forever home.
Pippa isnt immediately friendly with strangers, it takes her a while to warm up to you and she very much likes attention on her terms. She does seem to also react at times due to anxiety and fear, like she gets worried and doesnt know what to do. If she no longer wants attention she will soon let you know. She might require multiple visits here at the rescue, to help her begin to bond with a new person. She would need a home where there isnt alot of visitors, she is very much a one person kind of dog. Strangely enough she seems to like all her vets and never acts spicy around them.
In the right home that will allow her space when she needs it, she would be the best girl. As she is alot of fun once she has got to know you and you respect her boundaries. She loves playing fetch and will bark if you dont throw her ball quick enough, she enjoys it alot. Pippa does have seasonal alopecia, she doesnt require any medication for this. But there is certain times of the year she will lose 80% of her hair because of it, then during the summer all her hair grows back. Its something she has had for some time, and sadly there is no cure for it, its purely cosmetic.
