About Dave

Dave is a lovely Cockerpoo crossbreed who came to us for rehoming through no fault of his own. Sadly the children in the home had lost interest in him, and he wasn’t getting the time and attention he deserved. He’s a happy-go-lucky lad who seems to take everything in his stride! He’s settled into the kennels quickly and has already made some new doggy friends! He’s been great with everybody (although a little boisterous).. and we think that he’s quite enjoying it here! Dave loves people and he’s lived with children 7yrs and over with no issues at all… he can be full on and jumps up a lot when he’s excited, so bear this in mind as he may be a little too much for younger children. He would benefit from some training around greeting people to give him more self control. He’s met a few of the other dogs, and he’s always been friendly… clearly he wants to play, but he is quite respectful if the other dog says no! He’s never shared his home with other dogs, but we feel that he may be able to, depending on a dog meeting. He’s not used to cats. Dave is a young, lively boy who will need lots of exercise and stimulation in his new home to prevent him from becoming bored! His previous owner reported that he did have separation anxiety in the home, and would become quite upset when he was left.. he was also put in a crate during this time, although he didn’t like it. He will need a home where he wont be left for long periods and where his adopters can put work into making him feel more comfortable when home alone.
