About Aggie

Hi, I’m Aggie! ❤️ I’m a 4-year-old Lurcher with a passion for life, fun and cosying up on the sofa! Incase you struggle to work out my size, i weigh around 28kg. Some of you might recognise me, as I was adopted from Jerry Green Dog Rescue over two years ago. Sadly, due to my much-loved owner experiencing ill health, I’ve found myself back in the care of the rescue. Through no fault of my own, I’m now looking for a new home where I can settle in and be someone’s special girl all over again. My previous owner absolutely adored me, and it’s easy to see why! I’ve been described as a bit of an idle lady, and honestly, I think that’s a pretty fair assessment! I’m a home comforts kind of girl who loves nothing more than lounging around the house with my favourite people nearby. In fact, my previous owner would often find themselves tripping over me because I’d be happily sprawled out on the floor or snoozing away in my favourite sunny spot! Why rush around when there are naps to be had? But don’t let my lazy side fool you, as I have a lovely little spark to my character too! I’m a cheeky girl who can bring plenty of personality to the table, and of course, I do enjoy a zoom, especially in a fully enclosed field where I can stretch my lovely long legs! I’m a lovely girl to have around the home. I’m housetrained, neutered and a good traveller, so I already have some great qualities to bring to my new home! When it comes to walks, I’m a good girl on the lead and enjoy getting out and about in quieter areas. I can be vocal when I see other dogs, as I can find these encounters a little stressful, so I’d much prefer peaceful walks away from busy doggy hotspots where I can relax and enjoy my surroundings. I’m a real people-loving girl and am very used to having company, so being left alone is something I’m not accustomed to. Over the last couple of years, I’ve only occasionally been left for around half an hour when my owner needed to pop out shopping. My alone time will need to be built up gradually, with patience and understanding, so I’m looking for a home where someone is around for most of the day and can help me learn that it’s okay to have a little time to myself. I’m happiest when my favourite humans are nearby, even if we’re simply enjoying a quiet afternoon together! I’m looking for a home with a secure 6ft fenced garden where I can potter about and enjoy some fresh air. I’d like to be the only pet in the home, and ideally, I’d live with children aged 8 and over. However, I’ve been around children of all ages, so we’re happy to be flexible for the right home. I can get a little overexcited at times and may jump up, particularly when my harness comes out and I realise a walk is on the cards, so this is something my new family should be mindful of! If you’re a fan of sighthounds, you’ll know exactly what I’m all about! I’m a sweet, gentle girl who appreciates the quieter things in life, but I’ve also got that cheeky little side that will keep you smiling. A lovely walk, a comfy bed, a bit of company and a good afternoon snooze sound like my idea of perfection. I’m not asking for the world, just a loving home where I can feel safe, cherished and right where I belong. Could you be the one to give this laid-back lady her happy ever after? Love Aggie x
