About Sophie

Hi, I’m Sophie! I’m a little over 2 years old and I’m a lovely Lurcher lady on the lookout for a family to call my very own. ❤️ My journey hasn’t been quite as straightforward as I’d have liked, as I sadly lost one of my legs before arriving in rescue. But do you know what? I’m not one to let a little thing like that get me down! I’m taking life on three legs completely in my stride and have been an absolute superstar throughout. I’m currently enjoying some lovely home comforts in a wonderful foster home while I recover, and I’m doing ever so well. I’ve adapted brilliantly and am showing everyone that three legs certainly don’t mean less fun or less love to give! I’m a super friendly girl with a lovely nature, and I really enjoy meeting people and making new friends. I’m a happy soul who has so much affection to share, and I can’t wait to find a family who will give me all the love and fuss I deserve. For my next chapter, I’m looking for a home where I can enjoy a nice, steady routine while I continue to recover and get stronger. A secure garden with 6ft fencing would be just lovely, giving me somewhere safe to potter about and enjoy a bit of fresh air. My leaving hours will need to be kept very low to begin with, before gradually building these up as I become settled and comfortable in my new home. I could potentially share my home with another gentle, friendly dog, subject to successful introductions, although I’m afraid cats and small furries aren’t for me. Any children in the home will need to be aged 11 years and over, so they can understand that I need a little extra consideration while I’m recovering. I might be missing a leg, but I’m certainly not missing any of the things that make a lovely companion! I’m a happy, affectionate and rather special little lady who has taken everything life has thrown at me in her stride. All I need now is a family who will give me the chance to show them just how wonderful life with Sophie can be. Could you be the lucky one to give this three-legged girl her happily ever after? ❤️
