What Cane Corsos are like to live with
PDSA describes the Cane Corso as a mastiff type, thought to have descended from a Roman war dog, that later worked as a hunter and on farms, guarding and rounding up livestock. Dogs Trust says the breed is sometimes called the Italian Mastiff, and that Cane Corsos are very large, muscular and typically energetic.

Breed descriptions are general. Every rescue animal is an individual, so the rescue's own assessment of the animal comes first.

No. The banned types listed on gov.uk are the Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, Fila Brasileiro and XL Bully, and the Cane Corso is not one of them.
