What Persian cats are like to live with

The Persian has a long, flowing coat and a short, flat face. The Governing Council of the Cat Fancy (GCCF), which registers pedigree cats in the UK, describes its temperament as "sweet & gentle", and says it is the sixth most popular breed in the UK. It says Persians are creatures of habit that prefer a calm home and gentle handling, have quiet voices, and will not demand your undivided attention.
