None of the rabbit rescues we list is inside the city. Barnsley Animal Rescue Charity rehomes rabbits as well as dogs and cats, Thornberry Animal Sanctuary at North Anston, near Sheffield, rehomes them from its adoption centre by appointment, Yorkshire Rabbit Retreat is a small rabbit rescue in Wakefield, and Rabbit Rescue North West keeps its rabbits in foster homes. You apply to the rescue that cares for the rabbit: we don't rehome rabbits ourselves.
Thornberry Animal Sanctuary asks £65 for a rabbit, and its rabbit pages say that includes vaccinations, neutering and four weeks' Petplan insurance. Yorkshire Rabbit Retreat asks £80 per rabbit. Rabbit Rescue North West asks £100 for a single rabbit or £200 for a pair, and its rabbits are vaccinated and neutered before they go. Barnsley Animal Rescue Charity doesn't publish a rabbit fee, so ask it.
Yorkshire Rabbit Retreat doesn't rehome rabbits to live alone, and asks for permanent access to a space of at least 3 metres by 2 metres, 1 metre high. Thornberry Animal Sanctuary asks for a space of at least 3 metres by 2 metres, day and night. Rabbit Rescue North West home checks everyone before they can adopt.

No. We don't list animals for sale. Every rabbit on this page is with a rescue, and rescues rehome rabbits rather than selling them, for an adoption fee: Thornberry Animal Sanctuary asks £65 a rabbit, Yorkshire Rabbit Retreat £80 per rabbit and Rabbit Rescue North West £100 for a single rabbit. If you searched "rabbits for sale Sheffield", the rabbits here are the rescue route: you apply to the rescue and pay its fee, not a sale price.
With the rescues around the city that list their rabbits with us: Thornberry Animal Sanctuary at North Anston, near Sheffield, Barnsley Animal Rescue Charity near Barnsley, Yorkshire Rabbit Retreat, a small rescue in Wakefield, and Rabbit Rescue North West, whose rabbits live in foster homes. You apply to the rescue that cares for the rabbit, and each runs its own adoption process.
At least 3 metres by 2 metres. Thornberry Animal Sanctuary asks for that space day and night, and Yorkshire Rabbit Retreat asks for permanent access to a space 3 metres by 2 metres and 1 metre high. Yorkshire Rabbit Retreat also doesn't rehome rabbits to live alone, so plan for two.

No. LocalPetFinder is an independent UK website and is not connected with Petfinder. We bring together dogs, cats and rabbits from UK rescues and rehoming centres, and every profile links to the rescue that cares for the animal, so you apply with them directly.
Pets4Homes describes itself as the UK’s largest online pet marketplace, connecting buyers with breeders as well as shelters and charities. LocalPetFinder is for adoption: our listings come from rescues and rehoming centres and from owners rehoming their own pet, each checked by a reviewer before it goes live. We do not take adverts from breeders.
No. We do not list the RSPCA’s animals, at its national centres or its branches. To see them, use RSPCA Find a Pet, the RSPCA’s own search for animals in its centres and branches across England and Wales.
