Three Norfolk rescues add their cats with this update, and none of them is inside the city. Venture Farm Cat Rescue sits a couple of miles south of Mattishall, about 11 miles west, and is run entirely by volunteers.
PACT Animal Sanctuary at Woodrising, near Hingham, rehomes cats and kittens from its sanctuary, and FAITH Animal Rescue at Hickling, about 15 miles north-east, keeps its cats in a shared cat house with sofas, hidey holes and a large meshed run.
Venture Farm has no fixed fee but asks for a £100 donation for a cat of 1 to 10 years, £80 for an older cat and £250 for a pair of kittens. PACT asks at least £90 for a cat of 2 to 10, £60 for one over 10, and £130 for a kitten or young cat up to 2 years. FAITH doesn't publish a cat fee.
Each rescue sets its own adoption fee. Cats Protection says you can expect to pay £80 to £120 on average for an adult cat and £100 to £120 for a kitten, varying between its branches, and Blue Cross fees start from £150 for cats aged 4 months to 7 years. The fee usually covers neutering, microchipping and first vaccinations, and each rescue confirms its own fee.
Nobody hands over a cat on the spot. Expect an appointment at each of the three, and a home check at Venture Farm and FAITH (Venture Farm, FAITH):
Venture Farm homes kittens only in pairs, and PACT and Venture Farm both charge less for a cat over 10. Cats Protection rehomes cats as well, though its cats aren't on our pages: look on its own site too.
Our guide to cat rescues in Norwich and Norfolk compares the three in detail, and if you searched "kittens for sale" in Norwich, Great Yarmouth or Lowestoft, start with our rescue kittens guide. Our kitten, older cat and bonded pair pages show who is waiting today.

From Venture Farm Cat Rescue near Mattishall, PACT Animal Sanctuary at Woodrising or FAITH Animal Rescue at Hickling. All three list cats with us from this update, and adoption goes through the rescue, not LocalPetFinder.
Venture Farm asks a £100 donation for a cat of 1 to 10, £80 for an older cat and £250 for a kitten pair. PACT asks at least £90 for an adult, £60 over 10 and £130 for a cat up to 2 years. FAITH publishes no fee.
No. Venture Farm opens by appointment only, PACT is an appointment-only centre, and FAITH meets adopters strictly by appointment after an application.
Not PACT: it won't rehome a cat on an A or B road or a busy main road. It will consider a home with a catio or a cat-proof garden.
FAITH Animal Rescue runs a waiting list for cats through its owner form. Our Norwich rehoming page covers the other options.

No. LocalPetFinder is an independent UK website and is not connected with Petfinder. We bring together dogs, cats and rabbits from UK rescues and rehoming centres, and every profile links to the rescue that cares for the animal, so you apply with them directly.
Pets4Homes describes itself as the UK’s largest online pet marketplace, connecting buyers with breeders as well as shelters and charities. LocalPetFinder is for adoption: our listings come from rescues and rehoming centres and from owners rehoming their own pet, each checked by a reviewer before it goes live. We do not take adverts from breeders.
No. We do not list the RSPCA’s animals, at its national centres or its branches. To see them, use RSPCA Find a Pet, the RSPCA’s own search for animals in its centres and branches across England and Wales.
