About Dreamer
Some dogs come into rescue with wagging tails, ready to embrace the world… and then there is Dreamer. A little soul who is absolutely terrified of his own shadow.
For Dreamer, the world is a big, frightening place. Things that other dogs take in their stride can feel overwhelming to him. He doesn't yet understand that not everything is something to be scared of, or that there are people out there who will love him, protect him and never ask more of him than he can give
Slowly but surely, we are seeing little glimpses of the dog hiding behind all that fear. He is starting to enjoy his daily walks, dinner time is now something to get excited about, and best of all… we are finally getting tail wags!
Such tiny things to some, but to us they mean absolutely everything. Every little wag is a sign that Dreamer is beginning to believe that life might just be okay after all.
What Dreamer needs now is someone truly special. Someone who won't rush him, who will take life at his pace, who will reassure him when he is frightened and celebrate every tiny victory along the way.
He doesn't need grand adventures or a busy life. He needs patience, kindness, gentle words and a home where he can finally breathe, knowing he is safe and loved.
He needs someone who understands that trust isn't given overnight, and that the greatest reward will be the day this frightened little boy looks at them and realises he has absolutely nothing left to fear.
