When we checked on 2 November 2026, the rabbits listed near Kendal were in Lancashire. Animal Care Lancaster Morecambe & District, about 20 miles south, rehomes rabbits, guinea pigs and other small animals: its rabbits are neutered and vaccinated against myxomatosis, VHD1 and VHD2, and it asks a donation of £40 to adopt one. You apply on its form, and a home checker visits to see your set-up, so have the size of your hutch and run ready.
Wolfwood at Ellel, about 23 miles away, mainly rehomes dogs but sometimes has domestic rabbits for adoption; phone it to arrange a visit. You apply to the rescue that cares for the rabbit: we don't rehome rabbits ourselves.

No. We don't list animals for sale. Every rabbit on this page is with a rescue, and rescues rehome rabbits rather than selling them. If you searched "rabbits for sale Kendal", the rabbits here are the rescue route: you apply to the rescue and pay its adoption donation, not a sale price.
Animal Care Lancaster Morecambe & District, about 20 miles south, rehomes neutered, vaccinated rabbits for a donation of £40, after a home check. Wolfwood at Ellel sometimes has rabbits too. Neither is in Cumbria, so allow for the drive.

No. LocalPetFinder is an independent UK website and is not connected with Petfinder. We bring together dogs, cats and rabbits from UK rescues and rehoming centres, and every profile links to the rescue that cares for the animal, so you apply with them directly.
Pets4Homes describes itself as the UK’s largest online pet marketplace, connecting buyers with breeders as well as shelters and charities. LocalPetFinder is for adoption: our listings come from rescues and rehoming centres and from owners rehoming their own pet, each checked by a reviewer before it goes live. We do not take adverts from breeders.
No. We do not list the RSPCA’s animals, at its national centres or its branches. To see them, use RSPCA Find a Pet, the RSPCA’s own search for animals in its centres and branches across England and Wales.
