About Cheddar

RESERVED Please meet cheeky Cheddar, this little chap found himself as a stray and remained unclaimed in the pound. Cheddar was not microchipped, he has got beautiful teeth and our vet has estimated him to be approximately 2 years old. Cheddar is a typical Terrier, lively and wants to get up to mischief. He is a very friendly boy and loves to have attention from everybody. He is finding kennels stressful sadly and it is difficult for him to settle. Cheddar does need ongoing training, he is only just learning what sit means. He is a very busy boy and needs an active home to meet his needs but he also needs guidance on how to switch off and settle. During play he can be boisterous at times, he does need boundaries too but once he is finally getting what he needs in a new home we are sure that he has a lot of potential. Out and about Cheddar is a typical Terrier, 100 miles per hour! He can also be full on with other dogs and may have a little bark, but we do feel the kennel environment is impacting his social skills due to his stress levels. With some dogs he has been able to say hello, he just needs to learn how to do so calmly. Pending introductions we feel he has the potential to live with another. He would be best suited to an older family home and adopters who understand Terrier traits would be a bonus. We are seeking a family that have the time and patience for Cheddar, he may have never even lived in a home before. Terrier’s are not for the faint hearted but what is guaranteed from Cheddar is lots of love, fun and laughs in return.
