About Oscar
Oscar is in the adolescent stage of growing up! He originally arrived in our care in March 2025 after being found abandoned outside a nightclub. He is a crossbreed that we think could be a Staffie/Collie mix.
We rehomed Oscar, but sadly he was returned due to his behaviour. Oscar is a very attention seeking dog and struggles to switch off within the home. He will steal items and gets over aroused which leads to mouthing. In his head any attention is good and he will do his best to get some.
Oscar is a very loving dog and adores affection. He can be unsure of new people and this will reflect in his behaviour. Once you have a bond with Oscar and he feels safe with you, he is the most amazing boy who wants to please his handler. He still has moments but you can see him actually think about what he is doing and then make the right choices.
On walks, Oscar engages well. He can become a little intense around other dogs however, we feel it is more frustration than anything. He is learning and already making progress with being in the company of other dogs and it not being so exciting.
Being only 2 years old, Oscar has so much potential and we are eager to get him into a home with people that are willing to build a relationship first. He will need strict boundaries and further training and this will be supported by the dog team. He is trained to sleep within a crate. Oscar may also benefit from an additional activity as he does get bored easily. Homes do need to be free of children and other animals.
