About Milo
RESERVED
Handsome chap Milo needed Foal Farm’s help after his owner realised that she could not meet his needs. Being a Patterdale Terrier, he has a lot of energy and needs an active home to fulfil his needs.
Milo does have a nervous nature and has always been particularly worried around traffic, he feels panicked and will try to run away. Due to his fear and the location of his previous home, he was not walked as it became too stressful for both Milo and his owner. He is now adapting to walks well with us, we have started in quieter areas and although he can still be anxious, he is becoming more confident daily.
As Milo has not been walked or socialised previously, it is no surprise that he can be anxious. He is good around other dogs but he can be reactive at times, which we feel is due to the stressful nature of kennels. He will need a committed adopter who will help him with his confidence building and socialisation.
Overall, Milo is a happy chap who is pleased to meet and greet new people. He’s an affectionate boy who enjoys having a cuddle with his humans.
He has not had much training previously and we are seeking adopters who are prepared to commit to a training plan for Milo. Especially as he has nipped previously whilst resource guarding a dropped item and he is very possessive over his toys. Patterdale Terriers are not for the faint hearted, they need lots of exercise, mental stimulation and boundaries. Milo has not had this previously, therefore he will be a project dog for somebody, we think he is worth the effort!
Once Milo’s needs are being met and he understands what is expected of him, we are sure he will come on leaps and bounds. We are seeking an adult only home for him. He could benefit from living alongside another dog as he seems to really enjoy their company, this would be pending introuctions at Foal. If you have the time and patience this boy desperately needs please complete an online application form.
