About Winnie

People – Winnie is a shy little girl initially but soon overcomes this for a cuddle, she loves attention once she has made friends, she loves a lap! Can I live with children – We have a limited history for her so would advise older children or occasional visiting grandchildren with adequate supervision Can I live with other dogs – She is an ex breeding girl so must be rehomed with another similar sized social and confident resident dog who will help build her confidence and show her all about life as a much loved pet Can I live with cats – Winnie does show some interest in cats so a feline free home unless super bold and well versed in canine cohabitation Health – Little Winnie arrived in a bit of a pickle, she had a wound to her back that was infected and an abscess had formed, she also had a cyst on her head and lots of terrible rotten teeth. Thankfully everything has been treated, she lost 14 teeth and despite sporting a patchy coat due to her surgery, she is recovering really well and thankfully feeling much better thanks to the care of her foster and of course our wonderful vets. On the positive, this lady has no Heart Murmur currently Out and about – Everything is new for Winnie, sometimes exciting and sometimes a little scary. She will start her exposure to all things new in her foster home, this will need to continue in her new home and it is important that she is not overwhelmed. She travels well in the car, she was settled and calm In the home – She has adjusted well in foster, and loves her canine companions, she can be a little nervous of visitors to the home but soon settles and then enjoys a fuss. She enjoys her time in the garden and has been mostly clean in the house. She may have the odd accident as she settles into her forever home. Winnie copes well with all household sights and sounds Type of home – Winnie will benefit from owners with the time to bring her on and who can continue build her confidence, she will need regular exercise and careful monitoring of her diet as she is tiny and now neutered we do not want her putting on weight. Her coat will also need regular grooming. This can be expensive in some areas, please do look into this before applying if you are unable to maintain this yourself Winnie has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and is up to date with flea and worming treatments, she has also had a full dental with a multitude of extractions, her cyst removed and her abscess cleaned and closed PLEASE NOTE: WE WILL CONSIDER ALL APPLICATIONS IF THEY MATCH THE RE HOMING CRITERIA AS PLACED. IF YOU APPLY AND DO NOT MATCH THE HOMING CRITERIA YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE REJECTED Potential adopters will be expected to travel to Beckenham Kent to meet Winnie Before you head off, please consider helping us by donating just £2 towards Winnie’s care and rehoming costs Text SUPPORTME to 70085 or scan the QR code below to generate the text message and press send to donate Texts will cost the £2 donation plus one standard network rate message https://prodogsdirect.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2026/11/d74c4b06-5f78-4cbb-80a4-18e374b8323a.mp4
