About Kismet
I can live with older children, aged 16+, who understand I need time to settle in.
I need a doggy friend in my new home. I haven’t met cats so I’m unsure.
I'd like a secure garden to potter around in.
I haven't tried walks yet, a secure garden will be fine for now.
I am in a foster home now so am learning all about home life and house training.
I am spayed and have had an umbilical hernia repaired.
Kismet is a lovely girl who came to us from a breeder and has now moved into a wonderful foster home, where she is experiencing life in a home for the very first time. She has a sweet, gentle nature and is a curious, active little girl who is making good progress as she learns about the world around her. She is a happy soul who starts each day with a lovely waggy tail and is slowly finding her feet.
Kismet is still a little unsure of people, but her confidence is growing day by day. She is happy to accept a gentle fuss, although she isn't quite brave enough to ask for attention herself just yet. She is also finding her voice as her confidence grows and has started enjoying a little window duty, making her presence known to passers-by, but will happily stop when called away.
Kismet takes great comfort from the company of other dogs and will need at least one kind, friendly resident dog of a similar size in her new home. She would love a canine companion who she can play with and snuggle up beside, as having another dog around helps her feel safe and reassured.
She really enjoys exploring the garden and having a good sniff around, and is now brave enough to venture outside on her own. Direct access to a secure garden will be a must for her as she continues to build her confidence.
Kismet arrived with us very underweight, so she is currently being fed three meals a day in a crate to ensure she gets all the food she needs without her canine friends helping themselves! It will be important for her to continue enjoying a nutritious diet in her new home to help her reach a healthy weight.
As this is Kismet's first experience of living in a home, she will need kind, patient adopters who can offer plenty of reassurance and encouragement while allowing her to settle at her own pace. She will also need someone around for most of the day while she adjusts to her new routine.
Kismet is making a lovely start in foster, and it is wonderful to see her confidence growing. She has so much potential to blossom into a happy, loving companion and will make a wonderful addition to the right family.
She has a travel document.
Kismet has been given the Gift of Life by Margaret Hunter
