About Tiger

Tiger is a lovely big, tabby and white boy who has come into our care after living for a long time as a stray. He took up residence in the garden of a lovely lady who provided him with a shelter and took him to her vet to be checked over. The vet suspected that Tiger might be FIV postive and, sadly, his blood tests showed that this is indeed the case. Because of this diagnosis, Tiger may have health challenges during his life so ARC are looking for a permanent foster home for Tiger where his ‘owner’ will love and look after his daily needs but ARC will cover his veterinary expenses as long as he is seen at Twickenham Veterinary Surgery where ARC has an account. Tiger is a friendly and affectionate boy who should now be homed to an indoor home or a home with a secure garden or Catio. In his original foster home, Tiger became frustrated as he is used to living outside so we feel her really needs a home with a secure garden or catio so Tiger can still experience the outdoors but in a controlled manner where he will not come into direct contact with other cats. He may cope with being indoors providing the property is large and his new owners are committed to lots of enrichment so Tiger is kept entertained and busy, and can exhibit normal behaviours. Tiger is quite a character and loves to be with you on the sofa etc but he will occasionally bit for no obvious reason so he is only suitable for experienced cat owners. Tiger has been castrated, microchipped, wormed and fleaed. Tiger is also suffering from Calicivirus which makes his gums inflamed so this will need to be monitored. Tiger’s rescuer had him vaccinated while he was with her so he is fully up to date with his vaccinations. Tiger is unbothered by his foster mum’s two cat- friendly Labradors. LOCATED: TW12
