Cheeky September

Cheeky is a beautiful girl that came to Bleakholt with her feline friends back in September 2025 and is finally looking for her forever home! She has spent some time in a foster home where she has massively come out of her shell! It is clear that Cheeky has a rough past! She has a bald patch on the top of her head which is believed to be an old, healed scar from being scalded by something in the past. Cheeky also has a cyst on her neck which we have had drained on a couple of occasions but due to it’s nature it will continue to refill when it is drained, this causes her no issues but is just something to be aware of. Cheeky has had some issues with her poos ever since she arrived with us, we have tried medication and special diets to help. We decided to put her into a foster home to see whether the stress of being here was contributing to the issue. Although not perfect, her poos have improved massively since being in foster, but any potential adopters do need to be aware that her poos can still be on the looser side! Our vet now believes that they are as good as they will get, and her insides are likely damaged due to all the years of untreated diarrhoea before she came to us. Whilst with us, Cheeky spent her days curled up and seemed depressed, however her fosterers have given her the time she needed and her sweet, gentle personality has started shining through. Her fosterers have said how she now likes gentle strokes on her head, cheeks, and chin but will walk off if she has had enough, she is also becoming quite chatty, especially at mealtimes or when she wants attention (or her litter tray cleaned!) She enjoys spending the day nearby sitting on the bed while they work, watching out of the window, or following them around the house. A quiet loving home without young children and where she is the only pet will be perfect for Cheeky! She will need to be a house cat as she is still on the special diet, she may be able to be weaned off this once settled in the future.
