Shadow

Meet our gorgeous ex racing greyhound, Shadow! Shadow is a very affectionate boy who has been super friendly to our staff and volunteers since he came in to our care. With him being an ex racer, he does have a high prey drive so can try to chase squirrels whilst out for his walks! He absolutely loves chasing his toys around our secure compound.  He is a really affectionate boy who loves lots of fuss and attention. Shadow will have spent most of his life in kennels with his racing background, so he may feel a little nervous going in to a home environment. We also do not know if he is house trained or toilet trained due to this. He loves to lie in his comfy beds after his walks – we sometimes catch him upside down showing his belly off! Shadow has now been in our care for 237 days and is desperately searching for his forever home. We think Shadow would prefer to be the only dog in the home as he can sometimes be a little unsure around them and isn’t too interested in interacting with them. No cats or small furries for Shadow due to his breed. He could also potentially live with children 14+ years  – subject to a successful meet. Shadow would love a home where he could relax and enjoy his retirement years and rest on a comfy bed (or couch) of his own! *Applicants that are successful will be provided with further information on each dog to the best of the charity’s knowledge
