Todd

This handsome boy is Todd!  Todd is a sweet, friendly and very lively boy with plenty of energy to spare!  He is a typical hound in many ways – full of enthusiasm, curious about the world around him and always ready for his next adventure.  He absolutely loves his off-lead time in our secure compound where he can stretch his legs, explore, have a sniff and have fun with his favourite toys.  Watching Todd enjoy himself is a real pleasure! As you would expect from a Fox Hound, Todd is high-energy and needs a very active home that can provide him with plenty of daily exercise.  Walks alone may not be enough to keep his body and mind satisfied, so he would really benefit from additional activities such as scent work, tracking games, enrichment and other opportunities to use his wonderful Hound brain.  Todd is also a vocal boy – hounds are known for their voices, and Todd is certainly not shy about using his!  His new family will need to appreciate that hound singing, baying and general commentary are part of the package.  Hounds are also known for being escape artists so he will need secure, hound-proof fencing and careful management, particularly when he is outdoors. A home that understands the determination and curiosity of a scent-driven hound would be ideal.  Todd has so much character and has all the makings of a fantastic companion in the right home.  He needs someone who understands that a Fox Hound is a lifestyle, not just a pet – but for the right home, Todd will bring plenty of fun, affection and adventure. Todd has socialised well with other dogs whilst in our care and is very playful and full-on.  We do feel he could potentially live with another dog of similar energy levels that would tolerate his play style following a successful meet and greet. No cats or small furries for Todd. As Todd came into the home as a stray, we have no previous history on him so would prefer any children in the home to be 16+ years.
