Moose - Ambull

Meet Moose our lovely Ambull who has been waiting for his forever home for far too long. Since arriving with us from another centre this big softie has been melting hearts and we’re hoping his special person or family is out there waiting to meet him. Moose can be a little shy when you first meet him but once he gets to know you his friendly and affectionate personality really starts to shine. He absolutely loves human company and is easily motivated by people food and toys especially his favourite soft squeaky toys! Moose is a clever boy who already knows some of his basics. He can sit give paw and lie down responds well to his name and walks nicely on a harness. He also enjoys travelling and has been known to happily jump into the car travelling well with a harness on the back seat. His new family will need to continue building on his training with plenty of patience positive reinforcement and encouragement. Moose does have some ongoing health considerations that his new family will need to be aware of. He has a history of eye problems including entropion as well as hip dysplasia and some arthritis and degenerative joint changes. He has also previously had a mast cell tumour removed and has had a cyst affecting his eyelid. Our team will be happy to talk through his medical history in more detail with potential adopters including what this may mean for his ongoing care. His insurance cover also has some exclusions relating to these conditions so it’s important that his new family understands this before adoption. Moose is also a strong energetic boy with the potential to chase livestock including sheep and deer. Because of this he will need to remain on lead in public areas where livestock may be present and his new family will need to be comfortable managing this responsibly. Despite everything Moose is such a special boy who has already captured the hearts of everyone who has spent time with him. He deserves a loving home where he can enjoy plenty of human company tuck into some tasty treats show off his training and of course play with his favourite squeaky toys.
