Lettie

Meet Lettie! Lettie is a fun affectionate and playful girl who absolutely loves her toys treats and a good fuss! Lettie is a bright girl who already knows how to sit give paw and lie down and she really enjoys interacting with her people. She is a lovely girl who softens and engages when touched all over showing just how much she enjoys affection and attention. Lettie can be quite boisterous and gets very excited and when her excitement takes over she can become mouthy. Because of this she is looking for an experienced home with people who understand her behaviour and can help her learn to manage her impulses. She would benefit from continued work on impulse control lead skills and building her social skills around other dogs. On lead Lettie generally walks well although she is currently under-socialised when encountering dogs while out. She can bark and lunge towards some dogs so her new family will need to be confident managing her on walks and continuing her training. Interestingly she has shown that she can be friendly and playful with male dogs! We feel she may potentially be able to live with a suitable male dog following careful introductions. Lettie would be best suited to a home with children aged 16 and over due to her tendency to become mouthy when excited. She needs a family who will provide clear consistent boundaries alongside plenty of positive reinforcement exercise and mental stimulation. Underneath all that youthful enthusiasm is a really lovely girl who adores her people and wants to have fun with them. Lettie has so much potential and with the right guidance and an experienced family willing to continue her training we believe she can really flourish.
