Fudge

Fudge is a massive cuddle bug and lovable goofball who has a real soft spot for his favourite people. Once he knows you, his big baby side comes out and he’s more than happy to lean his whole body into you for fuss and affection! He enjoys sniffy walks, exploring and spending time with his people, and his friendly nature means he’s usually delighted to make a new pal. Fudge would suit a family with experience of bigger breeds, or adopters who are keen to learn and continue his training. He’ll need some guidance around other dogs, as his idea of a polite introduction can currently be a little “legs first, manners later!” With patient handling and positive experiences, he has lots of potential to develop his social skills. Behind his impressive exterior is a wonderfully silly, affectionate boy who just wants to be involved, make friends and soak up as many cuddles as possible. Handsome chap Fudge is a 5-year-old Akita cross Rottie with a huge personality and an even bigger heart! He is happiest as the only pet in the home, but could have walking friends once suitable friendships have been built. Fudge really wants to be everyone’s friend, including other dogs, but he hasn’t had lots of opportunities to learn his doggy manners. His play style can be very enthusiastic and full-on, so he’ll benefit from continued support to help him learn calmer ways to socialise. He can live with secondary-school-aged children, is okay travelling in the car and our assessment suggests he could be left for a couple of hours once settled.
