Milo

Meet our Poodle Milo! Milo arrived at Battersea with six of his siblings from another rescue. Unfortunately, we have no information about their previous history. Milo, like all of his siblings, has found our busy London site quite challenging. Milo is worried lad, lacking in experience with the outside world. Once alone on foster, Milo became a different dog and started to accept and enjoy some affection from his foster carers. He is an insecure boy and does tend to over bond to people very quickly, and struggles to be left on his own. He will need new owners with very minimal leaving hours who can give him a long settling in period, and build time alone very gradually. Milo was quite worried outside when he first arrived trembling in our paddocks but has since made significant progress , really enjoying his walks, gaining confidence, and exploring a little more as the days go on. Milo can be a little erratic on the lead when out walking in unfamiliar places which can be a bit of a trip hazard. However, when confident and familiar with his environment Milo is an active boy and walks very well. He will need to be the only dog in the home due to showing undesirable behaviour and jealousy around attention and resources when in a home with another dog. Milo has been on foster with a cat and could live with an independent aloof cat that is happy to allow him to have all the affection and cuddles from his humans Milo is looking for a dedicated family who are happy to commit the time needed to help him settle into a new environment and build his confidence. He would suit owners with some previous experience of anxious dogs who are confident in reading dog body language and advocating for his needs. For these reasons, he is also looking for a home with a private garden and a quiet location.
