Marley

Marley is a very special 15-year-old boy looking for a loving home where he can enjoy his retirement in comfort. Marley came into our care after being left in a carrier outside our doors, with a note explaining that his medical needs had become too much for his previous family to manage. Since arriving with us, our wonderful veterinary team have been working hard to get his health under control, and we’re so pleased with how well he has responded. Marley has heart disease, the early stages of kidney disease, high blood pressure and arthritis. Thankfully, with the right treatment and lots of TLC, he is now doing much better. He has gained weight, is much happier in himself and is showing us just how much of a fighter he is. Marley is currently on three different medications. One needs to be given twice a day, while the other two are given once daily. The good news is that Marley is an absolute superstar when it comes to taking his medication and happily takes it mixed into Lick-e-Lix! As part of keeping him healthy, Marley will need to visit our shelter once a month for a blood pressure check with our veterinary team. Despite everything he has been through, Marley is such a little fighter. He absolutely loves being around people and is happiest when he has company. More than anything, he is looking for a comfy sofa to snooze on, a warm lap to curl up on and someone who will give him all the love and care he deserves. Marley is looking for a calm, indoor-only home with no other cats and no children . His new family will need to be comfortable continuing his medication and regular veterinary monitoring. We know Marley has some extra needs, but we also know just how much love this lovely old boy has to give. He deserves to spend his time feeling safe, comfortable and very much loved.
