Orlando

I can live with older, dog-savvy teens who respect my space. I need a doggy friend in my new home. I haven’t met cats so I’m unsure I'd like a secure garden to potter around in. I haven't tried walks yet, a secure garden will be fine for now. Please be patient with me, I need to learn house training and lead walking. Please read below for more information. 17-09-26 Orlando is such a sweet old man who has come into our care from a breeder in search of a new start. He is timid and can be a little skittish, and although he is not yet brave enough to approach us himself, he will accept gentle handling and fuss. He is currently kennelled with another male dog as he can be a little too amorous with the ladies at the moment. Orlando will need a kind resident dog in his new home to help guide him and give him the reassurance he needs as he settles in and finds his paws. As Orlando has never lived in a home before, he will need to learn all about house training, lead training and the other basics of home life. His new family will need to give him plenty of time and patience while he gets used to all the new experiences that come with home life. Orlando could share his home with dog-savvy teenagers who can appreciate and understand that he will need a gentle, quiet introduction to the home, as well as his own space where he can settle in. Orlando has arrived with sore ears and is currently being treated for an ear infection. Our vets will monitor and treat this as needed, but he will need ongoing monitoring and care for his ears in his new home. He also has a skin tag just above his eye, which does not appear to bother him. Orlando has a Grade 1–2 heart murmur which does not seem to be causing him any problems. This lovely old boy really just wants a quiet, comfortable life with a sofa to snuggle up on. We hope that with the support of a kind canine companion and a patient family, Orlando will enjoy the cosy new start he has been waiting for. Orlando has a travel document.
