I can live with older children, aged 16+, who understand I need time to settle in. I need a resident dog to help me settle in and I have never met cats. I’m still shy, so I will need a secure garden while I get used to my new home. I haven't tried walks yet, a secure garden will be fine for now. Please be patient with me, I need to learn house training and lead walking. I have an Ectropion of the right eye that will be assessed during my spay. 21-09-26 October is a sweet but nervous lady who has come to us from a breeder. She is okay to handle and is slowly getting used to us, but she isn't quite sure about people just yet and will need some time to learn that she is safe and loved. She is a gentle girl who will need her adopters to be patient and understanding while she takes those first steps towards gaining her confidence. October relies heavily on her kennel friends for comfort and reassurance, so she will need at least one kind and confident resident dog in her new home. Having a friendly dog by her side will help her to feel more secure and give her someone to look to as she learns all about home life. We think having a confident canine companion will really help October to come out of her shell and show her adopters the lovely girl underneath her initial nerves. October has never lived in a home before, so there will be lots of new things for her to experience. She will need kind and patient adopters who understand that everything from the sights and sounds of a home to new routines and experiences may take some getting used to. She will need time to settle in and should be allowed to progress at her own pace without being rushed. October can live with sensible, dog-savvy older teenagers aged 16+ who understand that she is a nervous girl and will give her the space and time she needs to settle. She would really like a quiet, calm home where she can take things slowly and have the support of her family and resident dog while she continues to gain confidence. October is a sweet girl who just needs someone willing to give her the time she deserves. With patience, kindness and a confident dog by her side, we hope she will gradually learn that home is a safe and happy place and begin to blossom into the lovely companion we know she can be.
