Ollie

I can live with older children, aged 16+, who understand I need time to settle in. I need a doggy friend in my new home. I haven’t met cats so I’m unsure. I'd like a secure garden to potter around in I haven't tried walks yet, a secure garden will be fine for now. Please be patient with me, I need to learn house training and lead walking. I have been neutered and am ready for my forever home! 17-09-26 Ollie is a very nervous boy who has come into our care from a breeder in search of a new start. Despite retreating to the corner of his kennel and showing us just how scared he is, Ollie is okay being handled and will accept a gentle fuss, although he shakes like a leaf. He very much wants to be brave and has allowed us to clean around his eyes and give him some gentle fuss, but we can see just how hard he is trying to cope with these new experiences. Ollie will need another kind and confident dog in his new home, and this dog will be a much-needed support system for him as he settles in and begins to understand that he is safe. As Ollie has never lived in a home before, he will need to learn all about house training, lead training and the other basics of home life. His adopters will need to be patient and give him plenty of time to adjust at his own pace. Ollie could share his home with dog-savvy teenagers aged 16+ who can appreciate and understand that he will need a gentle, quiet introduction to the home, as well as his own space where he can retreat and settle in. His adopters will need to have experience with ex-breeders to better understand his needs. Ollie is a sweet boy who is trying so hard despite how frightened he feels. We hope that with the support of a confident canine companion, patient adopters and plenty of kindness, he will slowly begin to find his confidence and realise that the world is a much kinder place than he has known.
